Safety Considerations & Devices
- Nearby body of water. Pond on property.
- May encounter potentially dangerous animals. Our property includes a large amount of forested land. There is always the potential for a bear or moose. We keep all trash in a bear resistant dumpster, and encourage guests to bring all food inside at night.
- Exterior security cameras on property. There are motion detecting video cameras outside of every entrance of our Barn, Farmhouse, and Garage. There are two cameras inside our Event Space, facing large French door entrances. There are no cameras in the loft space, kitchen, or bathrooms. Outdoor Owl Camera System.
- Carbon monoxide alarm installed.
- Smoke alarm installed.
Property Info
- Some spaces are shared. Our outdoor space is open to all our guests to enjoy and explore.
- Pet(s) live on property. We have one dog that comes to work each day, always leashed, and no access to the Barn space. Sometimes we have our neighboring cows stay with us in our back pasture.
- Nearby lake, river, other body of water. There’s a pond on the property that is swimmable, and a wide brook across our road that runs along the length of our property. The brook is mostly shallow (think stepping on rocks shallow), but there are several deep pools that guests can dip into.
- Potential for noise. We are a multi-purpose property. The Farmhouse next door may be rented during your stay. You may hear car doors slam, and muffled voices.
Accommodations Info
- The Farmhouse: Must climb stairs 2-story Farmhouse. No shoes inside, please.
- The Barn Loft: Our Barn Loft is a unique space that is semi-private. There are 14 steps up into our Loft space. This area is open to a large event Barn room, so we have hung heavy curtains for some privacy. There is a cable rail banister that is not child-proof. The kitchen and bathrooms are considered a public space, and will be shared with a few property management staff during working hours. The Men’s Bathroom with shower will not be used by our staff during your stay, it is dedicated to Loft Guests only. Both the Loft door and designated Loft bathroom have locks.
